PS4; Experience Scaling & Gem of Ease

I've been fiddling around with Gem of Ease on the PS4, and some things aren't quite as expected. For the record, the DIII Ros editor is working perfectly well with the gem, but I have some questions that perhaps various modders will know the answers to:

I've seen it very clearly stated that XP scales on GR's at a rate of 1.08, multiplicatively. I believe that this scaling is also supposed to work with Gem of Ease, and experiments proves that it does. However, the 1.08X factor does not match observations on the PS4. As follows:

With a Gem of Ease set to a rank where the bonus is roughly 25M per kill, if I enter a GR65 rift, I get roughly 128M per kill. If 25M was the base amount for T6 (GR25), it should be returning roughly 21X times (1.08^40) the XP at GR65. But it's not, it's roughly 5X.

I note that If I multiply .08 times 65, this is 5.2. That roughly matches 25M XP per kill a 5.2 = 128M. This appears to suggest that the scaling is not multiplicative, but additive. There are notes on the net that clearly state it as multiplicative, but they appear to be wrong. Does this match everyone else's experience?

In another forum, someone noted that the maximum safe rank on a gem of ease is roughly 2,000,000. Is this constraint still valid? And is it valid for PS4?

I believe it has some sort of xp cap versus the level difficulty but not 100% sure but did notice I would get more xp running solo versus multiplayer so I believe it's not only the per kill but also ur bonus xp is brought into account .. As far as a safe rank 4,000,000,000 is safe to put on editor which would b at 2,000,000,000 once loaded into game and still allow 7 stats to be added to the gem
