Ive seen people with this (floating diablo 3 wallpaper above players head), how is it being done?

Unfortunately without a picture of the floating picture, i have no clue what ya mean lol.
If you get a screenshot of it upload it, unless someone else knows and its most likely a transmog of the blizzard pennant or w/e

Its done by putting the item "Junk Blizzcon Artifact" on the visual tab in the editor normally as a helmet transmog. NOTE if you then in-game equip an actual helmet it will disappear. It may also be the Junk Orn Blizzcon Prize.

Its been said by CKY and a few others that thats how ya get the pets to show up in game, but that has yet to work for anything i have tried. Besides the person I seen with the pet is able to turn it on and off like any pet would work, which throws the whole visual equipment idea out the window.
So still searching I am lol.

Yeah, I tried that too. You can get the pets to show up visually (although in odd positions), but they are not really functional. I see a few new pets were added with the 2.4 additions to the database and I was hoping one of those would work, but still no dice-- I'm still searching too lol Did you ask the person you saw how they did it?

Skypper yes me and Krandnam did he said that his master (the one that teaches him how to mod) told him not to tell anyone so he would not tell us. I asked him to ask his teacher and he said ok I will and that's now been 4 or 6 days I think. On one to on he had a probe on the other he had a jade serpent and a teddy bear I think.

The master must have some skill to get those pets to work; or be some rogue blizzard developer lol. I've tried everything I can think of; with no luck. Curious, did you notice if they retrieve gold? That's really what I'm after, a cosmetic pet to pick up gold. Not that I need the gold of course; but I hate to see all of it laying around going to waste as you breeze thru on a killing spree lol

Lets see what a pet is... http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Pet

Pet is a common name for any summonable companion of a player. Pets autonomously and independently attack enemies (or otherwise assist in battle) while not being under the player's direct control. In fact, most pets act as monsters, except for they are fighting on player's side.

Non-combat pets
Non-combat pets apparently cant do anything for you but be there..

very true, very true; I'd only add that non-combat pets do have some functionality now as part of the changes with the latest patch-- they can retrieve gold, but otherwise they don't do anything for you. Except for the raven on the one bow who already picked up gold, the goblin with the puzzle ring who picks up junk and gives you junk and the murk from the Murlocket who doesn't do anything at all.

Look at the release notes: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/19941042/patch-240-ptr-patch-notes-12-14-2015

Scroll down to the "general" section, there is a blurb there about it that says: "Cosmetic pets now pick up gold for you".

This functionality currently works on the PC and on the xbox (if the add-on was bought that includes the zombie dog pet, liber canis mortui)-- the non-combat pets will pick up gold for you. The playstation doesn't currently provide any cosmetic pets; but if you were able to get one to work, I presume it would work on the playstation as well.

PS4 has the ghost dog as well, anyone who was able to preorder the game has it, not just xbox.

True, but I was talking about what's currently possible. The diablo DLC add-on can still be bought on the xbox; but there is no legit way currently to get the dog or any other cosmetic pet on the playstation (short of the murk from the murlocket, the goblin from the puzzle ring and the raven from the raven bow).

There isn't even a way to enable it (the dog) thru modding/hacking (that I know of) for those who don't have the preorder version; which is odd, because the functionality you would think would be there and would work as soon as you imported the dog in thru editing the save file, since it was at one time supported on the playstation for those who have the preordered version.

the xbone has the ability to buy the ghost dog from the store?
Hmmm wonder why Ps4 doesn't have that, kinda weird a company normally is after any money they can get and then don't give it to everyone.

Odd

Also whats a better picture sharing site other then facebook? lol i hate facebook!

Yep. For the five bucks you get the pauldrons, a couple transmogs, the dog pet and 3 extra character slots on the Xbox systems in a dlc. I have no idea why they don't have one for the playstation. I'm sure a lot of people would buy it just for the extra character slots alone. It's just stupid.
